Changzhou Dongfeng Agricultural Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (also known as Changzhou Tractor Plant) has been a trusted name in farm machinery since 1952. Based in Changzhou, China, the company began as one of the earliest manufacturers of four-wheel tractors and power tillers in the country.
Over more than 65 years, Dongfeng has grown into a renowned producer of tractors, power tillers, and a full line of agricultural implements, earning recognition from farmers both in China and worldwide.
From Foundation to Growth
- 1952 – Company established in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. Production focused on small walking tractors and power tillers for local farms.
- 1960s–1980s – Expanded into four-wheel tractors, supporting the modernization of Chinese agriculture.
- 1990s – Adopted advanced manufacturing technologies and implemented strict quality systems. In 1995 Dongfeng obtained the ISO9000 certificate, followed by CAM certificate (1998) and ISO9001:2000 certificate (2004).
Global Certifications & Recognition
- 2002 – DONGFENG brand tractors received CIQ and OECD certificates, opening new export opportunities.
- 2007 – Eight wheeled tractor models passed the EC certificate, aligning with European standards.
- Domestic honors over the years, with the most valued recognition coming from farmers around the globe.
